In order to find compatible hub and drums for the 7,000 pound axle on your trailer, you will need to locate the bearing numbers in your existing hub. The numbers should be stamped onto the bearings themselves, or if they cannot be located, you can also take measurements of your spindle at various locations. You will want to use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to get the most accurate measurement possible. I have attached an image that shows you the measurements that should be taken.

For example, the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-865-7-2-EZ-K uses a # 25580 inner bearing and # 14125A inner bearing. This particular hub is designed for 7,000 pound E-Z Lube axles and has an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. I have included a link that will take you to our available selection of hub and drum assemblies for 7,000 pound axles.

We do not currently have any hub and drum assemblies available for a 7,000 pound axle that have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.

I have also attached a couple of articles on trailer bearings and hubs that you may find helpful.
