My contact at the manufacturer confirmed to me that you can add the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885, and bypass the OEM Integrated Brake Controller.

When installing the P2, use the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3016. This harness plugs into a port beneath your dash and connects to the four wires of the brake controller. The other end will plug into the back of the P2 controller.

To bypass the OEM controller, the blue wire on the # 3016 harness needs to be cut and a new wire will be brought to the rear to your 7-way connecter. Measure the harness's blue wire about 4 to 6 inches from the brake controller. Cut the wire and using # 10-1-1, sold by the foot, and # DW05745-5 connect the wire to the brake controller harness. At the 7-way, find the blue wire and cut the blue wire going into the connecter. Make sure you yourself enough wire to work with so you can connect the wire you brought from your brake controller.

I have linked an installation video on a 2014 Silverado that will show where to locate and how to install the # 3016 harness. However, it will not show you how to run the blue wire. The 2014 Silverado did no have the integrated brake controller installed.

I have linked an article that explains how to bypass the OEM controller on 07-13 Chevy and GMC trucks. The installation is very similar for you to review.
