Why Are New Trailer Tire/Wheel Combos Shipped Unbalanced?
Question:
Trailer tire/wheel combo. Always wondered why new trailer tire/wheel combos come unbalanced? My servicing dealer always balances new tires. Was considering one of your taskmaster tire/wheel offerings but see that they are unbalanced. Thanks for your info and consideration.

Our Tire and Wheel combinations come ready to set at max psi, install on your hubs, and hit the road. They are not, however balanced in the way you may think of a car or truck tire. The way ST trailer tires are designed is different and their use is different from vehicle tires. You don't need to add weights to the rim or spin the ST tires for balance. There is a "light" point to each tire and a "heavy" point to each wheel. The manufacturer matches those points to give the ST tires "balance". This makes the tires absolutely road ready for you to install and use immediately.
Although it isn't necessary, you may choose to have a shop balance your tires if they have the pin plate adapter necessary for Lug-centric wheel balancing.
I've attached an article to help.
