Expert Reply:
B & W offers a 2-inch trailer hitch for your 1971 Ford F-100 pickup with standard rear bumper. However, to install this hitch more easily, it will be required to lower and temporarily remove the spare tire. It can be re-installed, but it may require that the spare tire be repositioned and/or modified. Part # BWHDRH25122 is rated for 1600-lbs of tongue weight and 16000-lbs of towing capacity. Installation instructions for this hitch are attached, along with an installation video on a newer model Ford.
