Wiring Instructions for Optronics Standard Trailer Light Kit # TL29BK with 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
I have standard 4 position trailer lights TL29BK, the trailer wiring junction box 38656 and a 7 way cable 54006-059. I cant seem to get the lights wired correctly. Can you give me some help with a diagram or instructions? Im coming from a 7 position hookup on the truck.

To install the Standard Trailer Light Kit # TL29BK using the Trailer Wiring Junction Box # 38656 and the 7-Way Molded Connector # 54006-059, you will follow these wiring instructions.
Starting with the trailer tail light wiring kit:
The white wire will be for ground. The brown wire is for running lights. The green wire is the right turn signal and stop lights and the yellow wire is the left turn signal and stop lights.
Then from the trailer 7-way connector wiring:
The green wire is for running lights. The brown wire is the right turn signal. The red wire is the left turn signal. And the yellow wire is for reverse lights, if these will be used.
I have attached a very helpful installation video for the Trailer Wiring Junction Box # 38656 that demonstrates exactly where each of these wires are connected in the box.
