Anti-Rattle Device Recommendations for a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch
Question:
I purchased the following: etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2inch Hitches - 7,500 lbs Item # 989900. Receiver moves around in the hitch and makes load clanking noises as I hit road bumps. Is there anything you sell or know to stop this?

I recommend the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Span # 63232. This anti-rattle hitch pin dramatically reduces any movement or vibration of your ball mount in your hitch. Included lock ensures security for your hitch accessory. This is designed for use on hollow-shank ball mounts and accessories. 5/8" Pin diameter.
To eliminate movement vertically and horizontally I recommend the Blue Ox Immobilizer # BX88224. With this unit tightened down it will reduce or stop movement up and down and side to side. I have linked a video of it as well.
And if you are looking for an inexpensive solution you could use # GY88XR which is basically a wedge that takes up the gap between the ball mount shank and the wall of the receiver.
