Gooseneck Coupler Adapter for Additional Turning Clearance with Square-Nose Trailer
Question:
I have a 2012 Dodge 2500 with a 6.5foot box. I bought an 8foot wide gooseneck horse trailer with a square nose. We are having trouble with clearance when turning. What would you recommend would be the best solution to help us with having clearance while making turns? Thank you!

If your gooseneck trailer uses a 4-inch round outer tube you can use the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler # BWTEXA4200 to gain 10-inches of additional clearance. The offset adjustment holes accommodate outer tubes with pins in different positions. This coupler offers a 6K vertical load limit and a 24K trailer weight rating. This fits a 2-5/16-inch ball.
Another option that provides less additional clearance is an offset ball like # 19308 for Hide-a-Goose hitches or # BWGNXA4085 for B&W hitches.
