5th Wheel Hitch Installation Kit for 2013 Ford F-150
Question:
Hi, Im trying to install my Reese 30026 fifth wheel in my new 2013 F-150 XL. Could you please recommend an install kit? I am not looking for a new hitch! Thanks in advance,

Expert Reply:
For just 5th wheel base rails and an installation bracket kit you can use with your existing Reese hitch you can use part # RP50081-58. This is a custom kit that will reduce drilling and overall installation time. This one kit will fit all three bed lengths of the truck, 5-1/2, 6-1/2 and 8-foot lengths and it includes base rails, under-bed brackets and installation hardware.
If you need a wiring harness for the truck bed you can use part # PK11893-11932.
Do please note that 6-1/2-foot bed trucks require a sliding 5th wheel hitch and the 5-1/2-foot bed trucks can only pull 5th wheel trailers equipped with a replacement pivoting pin box called a Revolution or Sidewinder. Such short-bed trucks cannot execute sharp turns without having this special pin box on the trailer.
