Troubleshooting Curt Triflex Trailer Brake Controller Function
Question:
I had a CURT Triflex and CURT 57674 installed on 2000 Jeep Cherokee a couple years ago. Recently I noticed that the 57674 brake led is on all the time instead of the power light. I dont know if it was always that way but everything seemed to work OK. Is that brake LED telling me something?

Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV has two LED dots as you mentioned. One is for power standby mode and the other is for trailer connection. I've attached a video as well as the installation details that will help with deciphering any codes. If you are not getting a trailer connected signal when connected it may have to do with corrosion and I'd begin with cleaning the connections. If there is still no connection, I'd use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check for any lack of connection in the blue brake controller wire. If you get brake signal when hitting the manual override at the 5 o'clock pin of # C57674, your system is functioning. If not, you will want to trace that wire and replace where needed so you will get proper signal from the brake controller to the trailer without issue.
I've attached a help article to assist.
