60K Pintle Hitch

Today we'll be reviewing part number 63016. This is the pintle hook from Tow Ready. This pintle hook can be bolted to a pintle hitch mount or directly to a reinforced utility truck bumper. It's going to give us a gross towing weight of 60,000 pounds with a maximum tongue weight of 6,000 pounds. All the mounting hardware that you need is included. It's made from a steel construction with a powder coat finish so it's going to stand up well against rust and corrosion. If we take a look at the mount holes here on the backside, they're going to give us a diameter of 17/32nds of a inch.
Measuring center on center this way it's going to measure 3 3/8ths of an inch, center on center up and down it's going to measure 1 3/4 of an inch. To gain access to make the connection, all we have to do is remove the pin, just pull that out, then we just have to lift up on the T-handle and push back on the pintle hook. Now we can attach it to our Lunette ring. Once we have it in place we just shut it over the top of the ring and then all we have to do is reinsert the pin. It's nice because it's attached with a chain so it's always going to stay close at hand, we don't have to worry about losing it. It's a really simple installation for our demonstration today I'm just going to show you how you would install it onto a pintle hitch mount. All you would have to do is line up your holes, then place through the bolts, then simply on the back side you would just place on your lock washer and secure it by installing the nut and tightening everything down.
Once you have that done for all four mount locations you should be set. You can make your connection and then you can get out on the road. That's going to do it for today's review of part number 63016. This is the pintle hook from Tow Ready rated at 60,000 pounds. .

60k pintle hitch product is as described and expected - seems very 'beefy' and works as is should. Separately, I was very pleasantly surprised when Etrailers emailed me the day after my order was placed. They wanted to let me know that they were able to get my purchase shipped the same day it was ordered AND that they 'decided' to upgrade the standard shipping that I selected and paid for up to an enhanced priority 3-5 day shipping. Great great Christmas present to a new customer. I will look to them again when I may have a future trailer supply need.
I thought that customer service was pretty much gone in this country until I ordered from E-trailer. I've never ordered from them before but certainly will again when I need trailer supplies. The product shipped out on a Sunday which was the first thing that surprised me. Then I received an email with someone's name, phone number, and email in case I had any questions. The day it arrived I received an email from the same person telling me that the package had arrived. To top it all off the products were properly boxed so that even UPS couldn't destroy my two hitch parts!

The 63016 Pintle Hook is very light duty. It is rated at 60K, but is a lot lighter built than most 60K Pintle Hooks we purchase. We will not be able to use it in our normal application.
