Mounting The Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Trailer Connector # HM48470 On A 2010 Volvo XC90
Question:
You do a great job of showing Draw Tite Hitch installation for a Volvo XC90 but say nothing about the car-side wiring end. On my old tow vehicle, I have an ugly bracket that holds the 7-way wiring socket. What do you have that would have better road clearance and would look better? Thanks!

The etrailer Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # e45KR, is a confirmed fit for your 2010 Volvo XC90.
The Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector, part # HM48470, has a mounting bracket that can be bolted to your hitch.
You can install this connector on the 2010 Volvo XC90, but it will need to be hardwired in according to the wiring diagram in the installation details linked below, and it is best suited for vehicles that already have 7-Way wiring ran, as it is just a socket. If you just need a socket, this will work just fine.
If you need the wiring installed in addition to the socket, I recommend installing Hopkins Wiring, # HM11143745, instructions and a video linked below, and then install a 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, as the ETBC7 comes with all the necessary wiring and circuit breakers required. But, unlike the # HM48470, the ETBC7 Kit does not have a 5-Way receptacle, just a 4 and 7-Way.
I have included a video showing the installation of an ETBC7 kit, and an FAQ that explains the installation below.
