Question:
Will this work the opposite way? As in splitting the 2 wires into 3 Im trying to make a single light work as just a turn signal not brake and then

I do have a part that will work for what you are needing, but the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit, part # HM48895, will not take a 2 wire signals and split it into a 3 wire signal.
To split your 2 signals into 3 you will want to use the Tow Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter, part # 118158. This will take your combined turn and stop wires and separate them into right turn, stop, and left turn wires. Please note that this converter does not work well with LED lights.
Another thing to keep in mind when installing the converter is that it is not weather resistant. If you are able to, I recommend installing it inside a vehicle. If you are unable to do that, I recommend either putting it in a Junction Box like part # PK52249 or putting it inside a Battery Box, like part # TK2051, which is weather resistant and will keep it safe when installed properly. If you would like to have two holes for the wiring on the battery box you can use a grommet, like part # A11GB, to keep the wiring from rubbing against the hole, and a sealant, like part # 0160297, to ensure that the elements cannot get through the open holes.
