I am trying to replace the factory tow wires for a 1997 Ford F150. The original wires that tore and I looking to replace the stock unit. Could you assist my with the correct part number?

To replace the damaged factory 7-way trailer connector on your 1997 Ford F-150 use # 74682. This will plug into the truck's factory wiring and provide you with both a 7-way and a 4-way.
