Weight Distribution System That Will Work With Pole Tongue Adapter

I am towing a 6600lb boat trailer and am looking for a WD hitch system. It is a pole tongue trailer, so I would need Reese Pole Tongue Adapter RP58393. I need a WD hitch that would work with the adapter and would still allow backing up while in use and also work with surge trailer brakes. Do you have any systems that can meet that criteria and match up with the RP58393? Thanks!

To find the right weight distribution system for your trailer you need to know what the total tongue weight is. You will need to add the tongue weight of your fully-loaded-ready-to-tow trailer to the weight of any cargo placed behind the rear axle of the towing vehicle. You want to select a system where your tongue weight falls near the middle of the WD system.

I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System, part # RP66560. This system works with tongue weights between 600 and 1200-lbs, has sway control and allows backing up.

The hitch ball is not included so for a 2-inch ball I recommend part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball you can use part # 19286.

This system will work with the Reese Pole-Tongue Adapter, part # RP58393 on your trailer pole tongue.
