On a 2016 Ford F-250 with a factory-installed 7-way trailer socket the under-dash connection port for a trailer brake controller will be found behind the plastic dash panel to the left of the radio. You can see this connector being accessed in the linked video at the 3:28 mark.
In your Ford pickup you'll use quick-connect wiring adapter # 3034-P to install a Tekonsha P3 brake controller # 90195.

I have a really basic 2016 F-250 xl and the video of the dash doesnt look the same as mine and there is no plug behind the panels to the left of the radio. I found a port to the left of the steering wheel but the connector doesnt look quite the same. I've got photos if I could send them somewhere.
