7-Way and 4-Way Recommendation for 2016 GMC Canyon with Blank Spot on Rear Bumper
Question:
I am looking at buying a wiring harness for my 2016 GMC caynon. I have a blank spot to put the pug in and the wiring under the truck is just a bundle that i would have to wire up. Can you help?

Sounds like you have a round connector that would mate up to a 7-way like the part # HM40975 which is confirmed as a fit for that style of connector.
Most likely the blank spot on your truck has a three prong style blank spot that allows a 7-way to twist in since that is how GM makes most of their bumpers. If this is the case the part # HM40920 would be what you need. It has a 4-way below the 7-way as well. I attached a picture of what the twist in ports on a rear bumper would look like.
