Recommended Galvanized Hubs Assemblies With 4 Bolts For Boat Trailer

Question:

What I need is a galvanized hub 4 bolt pattern (4inches) kit (with bearings packed) pre greased that will fit a 68" (2" wide) axle with 1 1/16" spindles. Also the axle is the type with the zerk on the end where you can add grease, so I don't think I need the easy grease hub type. I would also like to use some other fitting other than the normal hub cap as this is for a boat trailer. Thank you!

Since you have the spindles with the zerk on the end, I recommend the EZ lube that you mentioned because it is designed to give you easy access to that zerk by removing the plug and not the entire cap. For this assembly, you will want the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 4 on 4 - Galvanized # AKIHUB-440-2-G-EZ-2K. If you really don't want the EZ lube access, you can use the AKIHUB-440-2-G-2K with the solid caps.

We don't have any assemblies already grease packed as you need the spindle to do that complete job correctly. If you need a grease gun, I recommend the LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun with Marine Corrosion Control and Trailer Bearing Grease # 30-800 and # L54FR., and you may want the Bearing Packer # PTW1218. I've attached a video on packing bearings which needs to be done before installation. Once you install these hubs, you then just need the zerk in your spindle to maintain them.

With either application, you don't need any additional cover or cap. They are designed for marine use.
