What Is Overall Shank Length Of Brophy 2-Inch Hitch Ball SC23-C
Question:
The description indicates that this hitch ball has a shank length of 2-1/8 inches. However, the video measures the thread portion of the shank being 2-1/8 with an overall shank length of 2-1/2 inches. I will be using this on a ball mount with a 1 inch thick platform and want to ensure enough shank length for proper installation with the lock washer and nut. Can you confirm the actual overall shank length? Thanks.

I went to the warehouse and measured the Brophy 2-Inch Hitch Ball, part # SC23-C.
The length of the shank from the underside of the platform that sits on the ball mount is 2-1/2 inches. The threaded portion of the shank measures 2-1/8 inch. I have attached a photo of the ball with th edimensions shown.
