3 Bike Rack Recommendation for 2010 Honda Fit Sport

Question:

Hi I have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport and just purchased the Curt trailer hitch C11064 from you. This is my first rodeo with bike racks and Im overwhelmed with the options and would love to buy the right one for my hitch and my car! I need one to hold at least 3 bikes and would be taking them on high speed interstate driving, so stability is key. Im not sure if the tilt option is all that necessary but it seems like it could be handy to have. Price point Im looking at is low $200s but ultimately Id love to have a great quality and something I wont have to replace any time soon or worry about once Im traveling with bikes in tow! Thanks so much for hearing me out - looking forward to your reply!

I have a solution for carrying 3 bikes with your 2010 Honda Fit Sport but unfotunately it does not use the hitch you installed. I feel bad as hitch bike racks are typically the way to go, but on smaller vehicles like yours the Class I hitches that fit the vehicles are only rated for carrying up to 2 bikes. The additional weight and leverage is just too much for the frames/hitches.

Instead you have to go the trunk mounted route since this does not have the 2 bike max rating. The one to use for your vehicle is the Hollywood Racks Over the Top 3 bike rack part # HRF2-3 which will securely mount to your vehicle and will not touch the spoiler either. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
