Recommended Fork Mounted Bike Rack For 2 Bikes Use On 2016 Ram 1500 And Future Tonneau Cover
Question:
Hello I am looking for a 2 bike pressure/ fork mount for subject vehicle.Ease of installation/ removal is important. I do not currently have a cover , but plan to get one. I would transpost the bikes with roll up of panel cover open. Are there any racks available that do not interfere with the cover tracks/rails ? The vehicle has a spray in liner and plastic rail caps factory Thx

This system is very sturdy and a great way to transport your bikes. The only possible issue you will want to consider is if you use a tonneau cover, the side rails may interfere. You may need to adjust the placement of your rails or the mounting of this bike rack based on specific fit. The spray in liner and the factory plasic rail caps will not be an issue.
An option to avoid the possible rail issue you mentioned is the Saris Traps Fork-Block 3 Bike Rack - SIngle Track - 47" Long, # SATRK14-BLK3 is an option that does not attach to the side rails of your truck. This system uses just the rubber grip on the bottom to hold the bikes in place. This rack can be mounted as well to meet your custom needs. This rack only uses the pressure of the weight of the bikes along with the rubber grip to hold in place unless specifically mounted to your truck.
