Which Truck Bed Rack Will Fit My 2018 Chevy Colorado With BAKFlip Tonneau Cover?
Question:
Hello - I have the Chevrolet Factory stake pocket bedrails installed on my vehicle. The diameter is roughly 5. I would like to use the rails to mount crossbars to haul carry equipment above the bed when my kayak is being transported in the bed. I also have a MX4 Bakflip bedcover that I use frequently and would not want to have to remove. If these feet will not work, are there any other options? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

The BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover on your 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is mounted inside the bed rails, so it is compatible with ladder racks that mount on the bed rail via stake pockets. The crossbar feet you referenced will not fit your truck bed but I do have an excellent option for you to check out.
I highly recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000950 for 5' bed or # A4000951 for 6' bed. This is compatible with your tonneau cover and even allows it to fold all the way up properly, whereas some other ladder racks are slanted inwards which interfere with the tonneau cover's folding mechanism. This ladder rack features a T-slot top channel which allows you to install channel-mounted accessories. I highly recommend adding Tie-Downs # A4000882 or Load Stops # A4000880 to help secure your cargo to the crossbars. I attached a demonstration video.
