Does the Heininger Advantage SportsRack V # HE1011 Interfere With Turn Radius Capabilities

Question:

Does this rack with two adult bikes installed and with a travel trailer hooked up greatly affect the turning radius of the rig???? I am concerned that having two bikes on will drastically reduce my radius.

My technical contact at Heininger told me that they have not had any complaints of the Advantage SportsRack V # HE1011 interfering with anyones turn radius to date.

Just to give you a full idea of how adding the Advantage SportsRack will effect your set-up I went to the warehouse and measured one and have the measurements noted in the attached picture. The arms extend out 14 inches, so you are basically adding about 18 inches to the back of your tow vehicle when you load your bikes on this rack.

This 18 inches is including the 1-1/2 inches that is required between the face of the hitch and the ball platform as noted in the attached picture.

An average mans bike measures approximately 64 inches from the end of the front tire to the end of the back tire and the average truck width is approximately 80 inches, so you probably will not have any problems with your turning radius while pulling your trailer.
