Can the goosneck hitch be used with a short bed truck?

In most short bed situations the Convert a Ball Fifth Wheel Adapter part # CAB-C5G will not give enough clearance to make a tight turn unless the trailer has a narrower than normal nose.
Here is the formula to determine if you'd have enough clearance:
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from the gooseneck ball to the truck cab
B = Offset used, (for here zero)
C = Width of the nose of the trailer divided by 2.
