Does Wire Need to Run to Vehicle Battery for Curt Trailer Wiring Harness C56261 to Function
Question:
Hello I am ready to purchase and install hitch and wiring hardness to my 2015 Toyota sienna, by looking your installation video, I have one question for the 12V power black wire run to front battery under car. can I do NOT run this black 12V wire to front battery, where I can hook up if do not run the black wire. Thanks

You will have to run the power wire for the Curt Trailer wiring harness # C56261 to the battery for it to function properly. The reason it is needed is to protect the delicate wiring of your vehicle. The # C59236 uses the taillight circuits of your Sienna as signal wires only and draws all of the amperage for powering the trailer taillights directly from the vehicle battery.
