Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2007 Ford Ranger

Question:

I have a 2007 Ford Ranger sport with the step bumper designed for towing from factory. It has the holes for the breakaway chains for towing and a large lip at the front. The ball is right in the middle in a factory hole. I measured from the lip to where the bumper starts to slant at the back and I only have 3 3/4 inches of flat area. Can this part help as I need to the height so I can tow my trailer, thanks

I have a hitch solution for your 2007 Ford Ranger, but the part # E-3S is not going to fit and would not be your best choice.

You would need to go with a frame mounted hitch custom fit for your vehicle. For that you would want the part # 13138. This will mount to the frame of your truck and will give you a hitch opening right under the bumper. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

To pick out the correct ball mount will be the key to allowing your trailer to tow level. I attached a help article that covers how to do this.
