Recommended Trailer Hitch to Accommodate Wheel Chair Lift on a 2014 Nissan Quest
Question:
I need to have a wheel chair lift placed on our 2014 Nissan Quest. The installer has told me we need to have a tounge weight capacity of at least 300 lbs for this lift to work correctly. Does our quest qualify for this?

According to your Owner's Manual for your 2014 Nissan Quest, your vehicle is rated for a maximum tongue load of 350 lbs, so your vehicle in this case will limit the load because it is not rated as high as the hitch.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch, # 75714, for your 2014 Nissan Quest. This hitch receiver will have a 525 lb tongue weight rating, which will allow you to have extra cargo behind the rear axle as well. With the other hitch receivers that are also a confirmed fit, you wouldn't be able to have the extra cargo load without overextending your total tongue weight.
Based on what your installer told you, this Draw-Tite hitch on your vehicle should meet your needs of installing the wheel chair lift.
