Recommended Yakima Roof Rack For 2002 Ford Excursion With Factory Roof Rack For Yakima Cargo Box

How do I make my Yakima cargo box mount to my 2002 excursion with factory roof rack and bars?

I called my contact at Yakima about the Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box, part # Y07337.

They told me they have not verified a fit for the cargo box with the factory crossbars on your Excursion. They told me the cargo box may fit but there is no guarantee. I have attached a drawing that shows the size and shape of the crossbars the # Y07337 cargo box will fit so you can take a quick measurement.

If you find the cargo box will not fit they suggest removing your factory crossbars and installing their roof rack kit. Their roof rack includes round crossbars, the Skyline towers which will fit fixed mounting points, flush side rails, or tracks. The kit also includes the round crossbar adapters and the landing pads. For this roof rack you will need part # Y00409, part # Y53TR, part # Y03536, and part # Y00221.
