It is possible but unlikely that a trailer manufacturer would use different size special trailer tires on the front and rear axles of one of their trailers. More likely is that a previous owner substituted alternate tires. We recommend that all tires on a trailer be of the same type, size and load range rating.

If you do not have the original documentation for the trailer then I suggest you contact Triton (800-232-3780) with the trailer VIN to confirm the recommended tire type (bias ply or radial), the size and the weight Load Range rating. Their website does not provide this. You can also check the stickers on the axles to confirm their weight rating and then use this information to select the appropriate load range tires for that axle weight capacity.

We offer both tires by themselves and tires already mounted on trailer wheels. The linked page will display all and you can click on the tire type and size you need. For instance, for a radial type special trailer tire of Load Range D in the ST215/75R14 size you can use the Taskmaster Provider # TTWTRTM2157514D.

Special trailer tires should always be fully inflated to their maximum psi pressure noted on the tire sidewall. It is never appropriate to under- or over-inflate a trailer tire. The linked articles on trailer tires may be helpful to you.
