Comparing The Available Trailer Hitches For A 2008 Cadillac CTS
Question:
Can you please explain the differences between the top of the line hitch compared to the less expensive one for a 2008 Cadillac CTS?

All of the hitches available for the 2008 Cadillac CTS have the same characteristics in terms of towing and tongue weight capacity. Each hitch has a 2000 pound towing capacity and 200 pound tongue weight capacity.
Where they differ is the towing components included with the hitch. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 24767, which is the lower priced hitch, does not include a drawbar, pin or clip. The Curt Hitch, part # 11307, which is the highest priced hitch for your vehicle includes a drawbar, pin and clip.
To complete your towing setup you will also need a hitch ball and wiring. For a hitch ball, you will need either a 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball or 2 Inch Hitch Ball, depending on the size of your trailer coupler. For wiring, you will need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, part # 118466. If you are not going to be towing with your hitch and and are just going to be using the hitch for a bike rack or another accessory you will not need a drawbar, pin and clip, hitch ball, or wiring.
Any of the hitches will perform and work great on your 2008 Cadillac CTS. I have linked instructions and a video installation of trailer hitch on a 2004 Cadillac CTS that should be similar to the installation on your 2008 model.
