Whats the best way to connect this to 2000 Dodge half ton

Helpful Expert Reply:
The installation method for the Pro Series Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller # 80550 in your 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 will depend on how it is equipped.
If you have a factory 7-way on the truck the instead of the ETBC7 and 4-pole kits you'll just need to use the wiring adapter # 3020-P to connect the controller to the under-dash port.
If it has a 4-pole trailer connector you will use our brake controller install kit # ETBC7. This includes all the wiring components and a 7-way for the back of the vehicle. If you do not already have a 4-pole then you will need to add one of those too, part # 118329, which is a simple plug-in installation at the truck taillights. You will also need pigtail plug # 20127. I linked an article and video to help you.
