Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2000 Ford Mustang GT

I have a 2000 Mustang GT convertible. Id like to have a hitch installed for a small 5x8 utility trailer. Ive been told I cant install a hitch on the GT. Do you know the right answer? thanks

The Curt trailer hitch # C11041 is for Mustangs with V6 engines since your GT is a V8, we don't have a hitch for you.

The Curt Hitch #C11041 is only a confirmed fit for the V6 models. It will not work on the V8 models of the 1997 Ford Mustang so it would not fit your GT which has a V8.
