I would be happy to help recommend a brake controller for your Damon Daybreak Motorhome on a 2008 Ford F-53 Chassis.
A brake controller, I like and recommend is the Tekonsha P3 # 90195, because of its easy user interface. The P3 is a proportional brake controller which means it senses how the tow vehicle is slowing or stopping and applies the trailer's brakes with the same intensity. It also has a full display screen instead of codes that need deciphering. The Tekonsha P2 # 90885 is like the P3's little brother, it has all the great qualities but doesn't have the display of the P3.
The correct brake controller wiring harness adapter for the Tekonsha P3 and P2 to connect to your Ford F-53 Class A Chassis is the # 3035-P. While we haven't had a chance to install this on a F-53 Chassis the instructions state that the harness will be located under the dash near the center console on most vehicles. I've linked an image from the 1999-2011 model without the body attached. For you to check out.
I have linked the above mentioned products to this page for your convenience.
