Solution for Trailer Axle that Continues to Pop Up
Question:
The rear axle keeps popping up

To prevent your trailer's rear axle from continuing to pop up, a great place to start is by replacing the shackle links on your trailer. When the shackle links become worn and the holes elongate and stretch, the equalizer can move and cause the axle to "pop". When this happens while driving, typically it takes another jostle to the suspension to bring the axle back to the correct position.
Shackle straps come in a variety of different lengths. One common length is 2-3/4 inches, such as the CE Smith Shackle Strap, Galvanized Steel # CE14103G. Another common length is 2-5/8 inches, such as the Replacement Shackle Strap # 115052. Measuring your existing shackle straps can help you determine which length straps should be used as a replacement. I've attached a link that will take you to all of our available shackle straps.
I recommend beginning with the shackle links. If this does not solve the issue of your axle popping, then we can look into replacing additional suspension components, such as the equalizers and hangers.
