How Does Brake Controller Install on a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic Body
Question:
I am installing the brake controller and have watched many of your videos but my problem is the wires I have under the dash are different colors from everything I have seen. I have 1 red and black, dark blue, sm. orange, sm.yellow, and sm. green and yellow. The 7 way was installed by a trailer dealer so I dont know if something different was installed. I found the two wires under the hood and they are both red and black. Please let me know if I have the right wires under the dash and which small wires would go to the white and red of the controller? Thanks,

Actually to install a brake controller in your 2007 Chevy Silverado you would want to use an install harness like part # 3015-P that plugs into the junction box under your dash. The reason for this is that you have the Classic body style Silverado. The new body style Silverado requires hardwiring but not yours.
Check out the install video I attached that shows a similar Tekonsha controller being installed with the # 3015-P harness.
I also attached a help article that covers the same thing.
