Is Mounting Hole Spacing The Same On T4079200 And T4853100 Trailer Couplers
Question:
I was hoping the video review would indicate the hole spacing for the surge coupler. I am wondering if the hole spacing on T4079200 is the same as on T4853100? I currently have a Titan surge coupler installed on a boat trailer and I am looking to replace it with a standard coupler and electric brake setup. 1995 Four Winns dual axle trailer with surge brake setup on rear axle hopefully soon to be electric.

The mounting hole pattern is different on the # T4853100 coupler versus the pattern on the # T4079200 coupler.
As you can see in the attached photos the bolt pattern is closer together on the side of the # T4079200 coupler than on the # T4853100. You may wind up with some of the mounting holes in the same place but you will need to drill new holes for some if not all of the holes.
I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains what is needed to add electric drum brakes to a trailer you can check out.
