Tow Ready or Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2015 Honda Pilot

Question:

I have a 2015 Honda Pilot and I see that you offer 2 different choices for the wiring harness. Curt C56170 and T-One 118558 for I always say you get what you pay for but can you please tell me why the T-One 118558 which is more than the Curt C56170 would be a better choice for me? I dont mind spending the extra money but I would like to know why its a better choice. Thank you!

In general we have better luck with the converter boxes of the Tow Ready harnesses like the part # 118558 over the Curt ones like the part # C56170 you mentioned. We just have found that the Curt boxes like to short out and the Tow Ready ones tend to handle abuse a little bit better. If this is a vehicle you plan on keeping for a while I would go with the Tow Ready.
