To know if the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, # C16418-204, will fit your 2005 Chevy 2500 long bed with the toolbox and spare fuel tank installed, you will have to check to see if there will be interference where your toolbox and spare fuel tank is located on your truck bed and where the installation kit rails will be installed in your truck bed to your frame rails.
The hitch center line on the Curt installation kit will sits 1-1/2 inches in front of the trucks axle center line. I am sending the installation instructions for the Curt installation kit that will show exactly where the brackets and the base rails will be attached to the truck. It will show measurements that will help you determine if the installation kit will install and not interfere with the toolbox or fuel tank.
If the Curt installation kit will fit and not interfere with the toolbox or spare fuel tank you will want to make sure you will have clearance when the fifth wheel is connected to the truck.
You will want to make sure that the toolbox does not sit above the truck bed side rails and that the spare fuel tank does not have any pump or anything that is sitting above the bed side rails. If they sit above the bed side rails it could interfere with the fifth wheel when it pitches and rolls side to side when being towed. A pump installed in the tank could interfere with normal turning also.
