Prodigy P3 or Hopkins Insight to Replace Integrated Brake Controller in a 2009 Chevy Silverado
Question:
You guys have some great videos and tech tips for towing. Briefly I have a 2009 Silverado 2500 pulling a 10,000# 5th wheeler. I have been chasing a problem with the factory ITBC and going to call it quits and by an replacement. Between the Prodigy 3 and the Hopkins Insight HM47297, which would you recommend for my application. I thought perhaps I could mount the Hopkins display in the dash hole left by the TBCS but most importantly is the braking. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Sincerely,

The P3 part # 90195 is basically the best brake controller available. It would be the last brake controller you would ever buy. The Insight is great and it is nice how flexible it is with mounting, but the P3 and it's display that uses full words would be what I would install in my truck (if I had one). Braking performance with the P3 is top-notch as well.
