Will Timbren Suspension Enhancement System Work On 2001 Mazda MPV LX Minivan
Question:
I currently have a 2001 Mazda MPV LX minivan with a Electric Wheelcair lift in the rear of the van. The Harmar lift works perfectly to lift my wifes Jazzy Select 14XL series Electric wheelchair up and into the rear of the van. My predictament is that once loaded into rear of the minivan the additional almost 200+ lbs of the wheelchairs weight places an exceedingly rear sag and strain on the rear suspension of our minivan. This van is our sole HANDICAPPED equipped van and to replace the van with a larger van is not feasible for us due to our fixed budget. Please let me know if Part # TMRMPV will work with our 2001 Mazda MPV LX minivan to provide the much need additional rear suspension load carrying capacity, and prevent the rear end sagging for which we are plaqued with now. I have looked for other rear end bag suspesion systems for our year of minivan and have been unsuccessful in finding other rear load sunspension assist devices for our van. I am hoping that your system will fit our van and will prove to be the much needed addition to our van that I am seeking. I will be anxiously awaiting your answer. Have a great day!

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part # TMRMPV should do a great job on your 2001 MPV.
This system will not affect the ride of your van when the added weight is not present but will add additional support when the van is loaded. This is a simple installation but it is recommended that the installation be done by a professional. The coil springs on your van will need to be temporarily removed to replace the bump stops with the new Timbren assembly, and then it will be re-installed. The installation instructions are attached.
Please keep in mind this system is not designed to increase the load carrying capacity for your van and is intended to be used with a suspension system that is in good working condition.
