Troubleshooting No Power to Brake Controller 2005 Nissan Xterra After 7-Way and Controller Install

Hi, i jave just installed a 7 way harness with the relays on my xterra 2005, with a brake controler. All the lights are working on the trailer, but the brakes aren not, i dont even have power on the controler. I cheked the fuses they seems to work but maybe i didnt look at the right place. Can you help?

If the controller isn't powering up that would be why the trailer brakes aren't activating. Since you installed the 7-way kit with the relays and then most likely used the # 3050-P (or one similar) to install the brake controller it would seem very likely that you are missing a relay for the brake controller.
The easiest way to find all the fuse and relay locations is to use the vehicle owners manual. In the index you will look up fuses and then go to the appropriate pages and it will list them all out and their locations for you so you can check to make sure everything is there.
The other option is to cut the black wire out of the harness and run it straight to the vehicle battery with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) and then through a relay like part # 9510.
