Brake Control Harness Recommendation for a 2015 Nissan Frontier for a P2 Brake Controller
Question:
I bought the correct harness, 3050-P for my Prodigy P2 brake controller for my 2015 Nissan Frontier. I moved it from two prior vehicles no problem. When I connected it all up to test it before mounting the unit, the brake controller power was on constantly with the key off. It showed a blue b in the window. I assume the power was on with the key off.. Is this normal?? I wouldnt think this is correct and the power would be on only with key on.. Please advise. Thanks.

The # 3050-P harness is the correct harness to install the Prodigy P2 brake controller # 90885 in your 2015 Nissan Frontier.
When a brake controller is installed it will have power all the time as it is designed to draw power straight from the battery.
Since the error code you described isn't a standard error code for the P2 it is possible that the code is different from what you described as the letter B. I attached a chart that has all of the error codes listed.
