I called my contact at Roadmaster and there are no base plates designed to work with your StowMaster tow bar available. The weight capacity of the StowMaster is just too low to use with your truck.

In order to flat-tow your Ram 2500, you would need the Roadmaster MS Base Plate Kit, part # RM-296-2.

You would then need to upgrade your tow bar to the RoadMaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar, part # RM-422. This tow bar will work with the base plates I mentioned and it has a 10,000-lb towing capacity, which will be able to handle your truck.

If you are not familiar with flat-towing I have attached a helpful article you can check out. There are five things needed. Base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, and most states now require a supplemental brake system.

We have covered the base plates and tow bars and the Aventa includes the safety cables. If you go with Roadmaster I recommend safety cables like part # RM-643.

If you are not going to be towing very often you may want to use lighting like the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights, part # RM-2120. This is a wireless system that bypasses your truck wiring and plugs into either a 4-way trailer connector at the back of your motorhome.

If you are looking for a more permanent lighting solution I recommend part # RM-154. This splices into the truck wiring and uses the truck tail, brake and turn signal lights. To connect the 4-way connector on the RM-154 to your motorhome I recommend part # 37385.

The supplemental brake system I recommend is part # SM99251. It's a permanently installed system so the installation is quite involved but after that it's one of the easiest systems to operate. You just flip a switch to activate it and it doesn't need to be removed when you're driving the truck.

You want to make sure you tow your vehicle as level as possible so I recommend a high-low adapter. I have attached a link to our product page for the high-low adapters we offer.

I have also attached links to helpful articles you can take a look at.
