I can help you troubleshoot your trailer lights issue.
Sounds like you are having a grounding issue with the right trailer light. Even though the running lights work, it would be good to check the main trailer ground and the grounds for each of the tail lights and check the surface that they are mounted to on all sides. If they aren't mounted to a good clean metal surface it can cause some of the issues you are describing. If the trailer has paint, rust, or corrosion in the area you may want to sand that spot off. You may need to remount all the grounds to a different location, like the front of the trailer.
You may also want to check the wiring and make sure there are no pinched spots or areas of exposed wire causing a short. One other place to check for corrosion would be on the trailer connector itself, this could cause certain functions to work and not others.
If you continue to have issues after following these steps, I would be more than happy to continue to troubleshoot this issue with you.
