Can Peterson Round Trailer Tail Light Be Mounted Turned 90 Degrees
Question:
The mounting bar for my trailer lights are vertical up and down not horizontal side to side as shown in your instructions. Mine attach in the center with a nut where the wires go through. I can drill holes in the mounting bar for the studs and dont see any harm in rotating the light 90 degrees either way to mount it. The light will still be facing the rear as it should. Is there any problem I will encounter by mounting the light with the studs aligned up and down?

The Peterson trailer tail light # 431800 does have a top and bottom, indicated on the back of the light. Normally a light does have to be mounted a certain way because otherwise the light being emitted may not be visible the way it is supposed to be as it exits the lens. But on this light I do not see that as an issue. Ideally though using an additional bracket as shown in the linked video would be the way to go.
The left hand side matching light, # 432000, is a different story. It has a license plate light on the bottom and if you turned it the light would shine off to the side.
