5th Wheel Hitch Rail Placement in a 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Question:
Where do I mount my front rail on a 2005 ford 250 SD. Pull rite

Expert Reply:
We do not carry the PullRite line of 5th wheel hitches and installation kits but if your PullRite hitch is a model that fits in industry standard above the bed rails then I can tell you where the rails will go on your 2005 Ford F-250.
First, if using custom installation kit # RP50082-58 measure from the rear edge of the bed, not the tailgate, forward 32-1/4 inches. This is where the back edge of the rear rail will be.
Then to place the front rail you would use the hitch by placing it in the rear rail and lining up the front rail with the mounting taps for the forward hitch legs. It will be approximately 22 inches forward from the center of the rear rail. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
