Hydrastar HBA16 Actuator Troubleshooting Not Working with Dodge Integrated Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2012 Ram 3500. It is not working with my HBA-16 EOH unit. Is there a part that can be added to make it work. The truck works on all of my Titan EOH pumps, and i have verified the Carlisle HBA-16 works on a standalone controller. The HBA-16 is an 08 model.

Sounds like you have an integrated brake controller installed in your 2012 Ram 3500. While this controller SHOULD work with the HydraStar # HBA16 we have found that the integrated controllers are a bit more finicky than the aftermarket ones. They just don't seem to reliably work with the EOH systems even when they say they will.
The best solution I can make would be to install a P2 # 90885 that will work with the Hydrastar. You can try using the adapter part # HBA-CAM as that might work but the P2 is going to be the best option.
