Replacement Axle Recommendations For 2001 Logan Horse Trailer
Question:
I have a 2001 Logan Horse Trailer that needs a new axle, as the right front tire is out of alignment. I have looked under the trailer and have the part number as P-16 SLR. SN # D7885979. It is a 6 lug tire mount, but I dont see any thing that matches my Axle to those you advertise. Can you help? Thanks in advance

I called my contact at Dexter and they sent me the information about your axle. It is a 3,500 lb torsion axle with electric brakes and a hub with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.
We do not carry this axle so if you are looking for an exact replacement you may need to find a local retailer that can get this for you.
We do offer axle-less systems that can be used to replace your axle. I recommend part # ASR3500S05. This will fit any width trailer and features independent suspension and is great for trailers like a horse trailer that has a lower deck. This system also eliminates the need for leaf springs, hangers, and other suspension parts. These attach directly to the trailer frame and inprove ground clearance.
The hub and drum assembly I recommend is part # AKHD-655-35-K. This hub and drum has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern and includes the bearings, races, seals, grease cap and lug nuts.
For electric brakes I recommend the Nev-R-Adjust brakes, part # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right hand, and part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand.
