Based on my research, Buick does not recommend flat towing the 2006 Buick Rendezvous. If you decide to flat tow, the Rendezvous requires a lube pump. I have recommended several other parts needed to flat tow, however we do not currently sell lube pumps.
There are several other parts you will need in order to flat tow your Rendezvous. A base plate, tow bar, safety cables, tow lighting, and supplemental braking system all are components used to flat tow a vehicle. I was unable to find any information on any fuses that may need pulled or if the batter needs to be disconnected when flat towing.
For a base plate kit, I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1508. This is the only kit we have that is confirmed to fit the AWD 2006 Rendezvous. The Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 is a great choice to use with the # BX1508 base plate kit. The Alpha # BX7365 comes with safety cables.
For a supplemental braking system, I recommend a unit from SMI. The Stay-In-Play DUO # SM99251 is great for motorhomes with hydraulic brakes, and the Air Force One # SM99243 works great with motorhomes with air brakes. These are proportional braking systems that have a one-time set-up.
I recommend the Optronics Heavy-Duty Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK for use with your 2006 Rendezvous. These lights will bypass your vehicle's lighting system entirely and mount to your vehicle using heavy-duty magnets.
In order to connect the lights to your motorhome, you may need a wiring extension. I have linked the product page for all of our extensions for you.
When towing your vehicle, you want to tow as level as possible. In order to tow level, you may need a high low adapter for your hitch. I have also attached a link to all of our high low adapters.
Additionally, I have attached some help articles on flat towing for you.
