Recommended Anti-Rattle Device for 1-1/4 to 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Adapter
Question:
I have 1 ¼ receiver on my jeep with a 1 ¼ to 2inch adapter which is a solid shank. Im looking for a hitch anti-rattle that will work with this. Would it be the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 1-¼inch or the 2inch Trailer Hitches? If not this part what will work? Thank you

The Roadmaster Quiet hitch would be a great choice. You might actually need two of the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch Anti-Rattle Devices. You'll need part # RM-061-125 for the connection between your adapter and the receiver hitch, and the Quiet Hitch designed for 2 inch hitches, part # RM-061 for the connection between the adapter and the hitch accessory. If the hitch accessory already has an anti-rattle device like some bike racks do, then you'd just need the # RM-061-125.
Keep in mind that using the adapter will lower the tongue weight capacity (maximum amount of weight that can safely be suspended from the hitch) by half. This means that the weight of the hitch accessory plus the weight of whatever is carried on it cannot exceed half the hitch's tongue weight capacity which can be found listed on the sticker placed on the hitch.
