Adapter Recommendation to Allow an RV to Flat Tow a Vehicle and Carry Bike Rack
Question:
I am moving across the country and will be towing a vehicle with my Class C motorhome. Id like to get a general idea of what is recommended to use as a bike rack? Can I get something that will be positioned on the back of the rv, if so, would it limit the movement of the tow bar?

Expert Reply:
You will need two components to be able to flat tow your vehicle and carry a bike rack. A dual hitch adapter like part # RM-077-4 and an RV approved bike rack like the # S94FR.
The dual hitch adapter will allow the bike rack to sit above the tow bar so that you can carry the bikes without interfering with the tow bar function.
Not all bike racks are designed to handle the rougher ride conditions at the back of an RV or trailer so that is why it is important to pick one that has been designed for that.
